Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) was established on 9th December, 1889 as an Imperial Bacteriological Laboratory at Pune IVRI Deemed University (Maharashtra) and was later-on shifted to Mukteswar (Kumaon, Uttrakhand) in 1893.
